After a very successful week our Pantomime production of 'Puss in Boots' by Stephen Duckham has come to an end.
Thanks to all those involved with this production, there has been too many people involved to name them all but they know who they are.

A final special thank you to our wonderful audience that came to see us and even on the last two performances on Saturday battled the winter weather to join in the panto fun.

Hi, my names Amanda and I’ve been involved with the Halifax YMCA Pantomime Society for 15 years when I first began as a dancer. For those of you who regularly support our society you will have seen me on stage over the years in varying roles. However, after a well earned rest last year I have returned to make my debut as producer. I am very excited about our 2012 production of Puss in Boots and I aspire, with the help of very experienced past producers to create the kind of fun packed, high quality show that our audiences are used to!

Much work has already been done with talented choreographers Kate and Mel, and a very dedicated production team who are all buzzing to get started with this years show so I am certain it is set to be a good one. In the meantime I hope you find our website fun and exciting and I very much look forward to seeing you all in the New Year. Puss in Boots 2012 opens on Saturday 28^th January 2012 and runs until Saturday 4^th February 2012.

“It’s Show Time!” as the saying goes. Today will see all our hard work culminate in the first of our nine shows being performed at 2.15pm.

This is therefore my final blog as on the whole my job is done. All that remains for me to do is to continue to support and encourage all members of the cast and crew over the next week.

It doesn’t seem two minutes since I began this “journey” (as the saying goes). This would not have been possible without the help of some key individuals some of which I know only did this year’s pantomime as a personal favour to me and for that I am very grateful. I just hope that they think the end result is worth it. I certainly do and I believe that we have prepared an excellent show which I believe the public will thoroughly enjoy, whatever their age.

I will therefore sign off for the last time as producer and I wish the next producer the very best of luck for 2012. And just remember “Enjoy”
